Introduced at mid the 2006, environment development first version beta .Net Framework, at the origin created for the smartphones or PDA under Mobile Windows/ Windows EC, from now on - because not - is semi-officially authorized by Microsoft - available in remote loading.
Developed without preliminary authorization of Microsoft, the South-African company Red Five Labs with thus made public a new environment of development for the smartphones Symbian S60 which will make it possible to carry out, without any modification, programs developed in.Net on such terminals, programs which functioned until now mainly on the smartphones, PDA and PDAPhone under Mobile Windows.
Thus competing with Java, who allows to have a standardization of the systems of development for PC, mobiles and other terminals, this program will make compatible it.Compact Net Framework in version 1.0 on Smartphone Symbian S60 only, the system Symbian UIQ not being envisaged to be firstly supported.
The first version beta of the program, available free, is compatible with the system Symbian OS 8.0a and the software interface S60 second edition FP2 only. The next version of the software will be compatible with the system Symbian OS 8.1a/ S60 second edition FP3 while its version 1.0 finale will become usable on terminals Symbian OS 9.1/ S60 3rd edition, system used by all last Nokia smartphones.
