[Pioneer Avic-HD3BT] first navigation GPS with modeling of 500 monuments in 3D

It is a first! Exit interfaces of navigation GPS in 2D or pseudo 3D, Pioneer announced in CeBIT of Hanover the nearest arrival of the first tool navigation GPS able to less post modelings of step than 518 monuments and sites in 3D of 21 European cities: Avic-HD3BT. The HD3BT is a GPS of second goes up, what means that it will have to be installed in a site car radio and not directly on the windshield of a car like a traditional autonomous GPS. It will use a data base cartography of TV Atlas, exploiting technology “3D Landmarks� to post in an interface of navigation of the monuments or elements in 3D. In the same way, its support of the DVD will certainly make it possible to easily store the contents 3D associated with the numerical charts.

For France, these are however only 40 monuments of which the Eiffel Tower, the stage of France, the Triumphal arch or the museum of the Louvre which will be posted in 3D. Same manner, their representation will not be done in an environment in “true 3D�, this representing the next stage which will be integrated into the terminal. It will thus be necessary for the moment to be satisfied with an interface in “false� 3D in which will be represented “truths� elements in 3D.

The GPS Avic-HD3BT de Pionner being envisaged to be marketed in April in Europe at a price for the moment unknown, it remains to know from now on when this technology is also available on an autonomous GPS, considered to be cheaper.
