A little about Beyonce Giselle Knowles

Born on September 4, 1981, a record producer, actress, fashion designer, and R&B singer, Beyonce Giselle Knowles got her first name fromher mother’s maiden name, Beyince, as a tribute to it. Beyonce started dancing and singing at the age of seven hen she was attending a dance school and was a soloist in her church choir. Little Beyonce, who was briliant in her school, grabbed the attention of the teacher, who finally took her to various competitions. And as forecasted by the teacher, this little star started to shine by winning more than 30 local dancing and singing competitions.

In the 1990s, Beyonce’s star rose DESTINY’S CHILD was founded. During the autumn of 2002, Beyonce was the featured vocalist of rapper jay-Z, now her fiance, in his hit single “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” Next she sang a duet with the late Luther Vandross singing “The Closer I Get You.” Feeling sure that she could sing without the group, Beyonce came out with her solo debut, Dangerously in Love, and sold over 8 million copies of the album worldwide in 2003.

In the 2006s, on her twenty-fifth birthday, September 4, 2006. Beyonce released her second album, B’Day. In its first week, B’Day sold over 540,000 copies in the US. Counteacting the succes of her second album, PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals), an animal rights organization, wrote a letter of concern to Beyonce about her behaviour toward baby alligators as depicted on the album cover. She apparently thumped these creatures on the month, an action regarded by PETA as definitely abusive to the animals.
