3 Italia, The Italian Mobile Media Company of the Hutchison Wampoa Group announced the release of “LG U960″ TV-Phone for their distribution network. Regarding specs, This GSM with GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA 3G network support features 2.2-inch 240×320 pixels, 262K colors display and frontal VGA-camera, DVB-H Tuner for broadcast digital TV, 5MB Flash memory and integrated with 2.0 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom, bluetooth connectivity, USB interface and SD card slot. In addition, The device boasts a speed of download up to 3.6 Mbps and the display can be rotate to the landscape position to get a better TV viewing.

That thing looks awesome! I was actually checking it out (or one almost identical if it wasn’t the same) on Verizon Wireless’ site yesterday… sadly, my contract isn’t up for another year so it really doesn’t matter at this point, because I’m not going to pay their non-”new contract” price. Also, I’m so used to flip phones, I’ve had 4 or 5 in the past 5 or 6 years, and I’m not sure I can get used to something else… but that thing just looks so cool, I’m very tempted. I’ll probably wait until it’s been out long enough to hear some reviews, and them maybe pick up the second generation (like all those iPhone people should have done)
