Sony XEL-1 - World’s First OLED TV
Sony yesterday officially announced its first 11-inch “XEL-1″ OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) high definition TV with just 3mm thin and would be going commercial at Japan starting from 1st December at an expected sale price of $1700. Previously, The XEL-1 has been displayed at CES 2007 event. Regarding specs, this first Sony’s OLED TV boasts a contrast ratio 1,000,000:1, resolution 940 x 540 pixels and integrated with terrestrial degree of /BS/110 CS digital tuner for Japanese broadcast, HDMI port, USB connector, 10/100Mbps Ethernet, 1W×2ch output as well as DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) support. It’s measures 287×140×253mm, weight 2kg and consumes 45W electric power.
