Nowadays, Wi-Fi is one of the most essential resource for many mobile users. It’s cheap and sometimes free in certain location. We know that most of us need a simple tools just to check the signal without the need to switch on our laptop, and we wonder if there is such a device available on the market. And yes now you have Wi-Fi PIXXA digital photo frame by Ality. Besides functionality to a frame, it also incorporating instant messaging, automatic news flash and weather reports plus multiple user accounts allowing each member of the family to set-up their own multi-media libraries and personalize display preferences.


On the specs department, it sports 8-inch LCD display and ability to share a photos via the web (via the net or from PIXXA to PIXXA frame) using the instant messenger application which also supports a chat function. With the Live Calendar feature you can synchronize your schedules with online calendar websites without the need for a computer and photos can be attached to special dates. It also has 50MB and ability to automatically resize photos to suit a variety of digital photo frame settings. Ality planned to showcase this one at CES 2008 event in Vegas next month and it’ll be available first half of 2008 at an expected sale price of $299.

    Finally there are enough options and the photo-frames are beginning to look ‘real’ enough that I am considering buying some. Wifi is of course a huge bonus too.
