Roper Mobile Technology Intros Duros Rugged Tablet PC
The Duros is the new rugged tablet PC from Roper Mobile Technology. Being a rugged machine, means this one wouldn’t break when accidentally drop from up to 1 meters of height. It is supports to use outside with a wide temperature range between -200C to +500C and you can also expect it to survive extreme weather conditions, such as heat, frost and rain, etc.
Measures 260 x 198 x 43 mm and weight1.9 Kg, the machine packs a 8.4-inch 800×600 pixels touchscreen, 256K colors, 32 nits display, a 120GB HDD or 64 GB Solid-State Disk, up to 1 GB DDR SODIMM, either AMD Geode LX 800 or Intel Celeron M 1 GHz CPU and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, WCDMA, and a GPS-receiver (optional offers). Regarding battery, the Duros has built-in Li-Ion 44Wh battery that offers up to 3 hours of battery life.

Wow this thing is pretty cool…I want a tablet more then anything else…I wonder though, with the frost, if you have a frosty screen how are you suppose to be able to see it? lol
