Altek Digital Camera With An Embedded GPS Chip

Altek, Taiwan-based OEM manufacturer has just unveils its new 8-megapixel digital camera which built-in GPS Chip and automatic geotags capability, means it can be automatically geotag the photos and the metadata, then shown based on where they were taken in Google Earth, Google Maps or Flickr’s geotagged photos service. Although this camera is not the first device that combining GPS and camera functionality, but it has became the world’s first pocket-sized consumer point-and-shoot camera with integrated GPS functions that would be sold in June under a different brand name. Other features included 3-inch touch screen display. Nice idea!
