PLDS (Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions) is going to release its DH-4B1S Blu-ray burner — starting from this May in Europe. Regarding spec, this SATA-base drive can store your data to Blu-ray media at quad-speed using Constant Linear Velocity technology, allowing data to be transferred at a consistent 4x rate throughout the burning process, which make It differs with the competitor that claim using 6x burning speed but use Constant Angular Velocity technology to start data transfers at a slower rate and then gradually build to a top speed at the end of the session, creating a slower average speed.
