Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray Disc Player

The Marantz BD8002 is a new Blu-ray Disc player that has just been announced in Japan. Measures 440 × 402 × 140mm and weight 10.5kg, the player will come with Full HD 1080/24p True Cinema Video Output, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio (MA), DTS-HD High Resolution Audio (HRA), Dolby digital plus (DD+), Multi-channel Linear PCM & Dolby Digital Plus Decoding, signal-noise ratio 125dB and dynamic range 110dB, SD/SDHC memory card slot, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) function, and Noise Shaped Video (NSV) technology to improve signal-to-noise ratio of video signal.
This first Marantz’s DB player also backward compatible and can play DVD and CD discs at their original and DivX and MP3, WMA, JPEG formats. Besides HDMI output Ver.1.3a, it also loads component ×2 (BNC×1 and RCA×1), S image ×1, composite ×1, optical digital audio ×1, coaxial digital audio ×1, 2ch analog audio ×1 (RACA) and 7.1ch analog audio ×1 (RACA) for connectivity options. It consume 65W of electric power. The BD8002 will be available on June and retails for ¥336,000 or around US$3,222.

Now that Bluray has won the HD format war, we’re gonna see more bluray players pop like mushrooms. UDS3222 is crazy for a bluray player, but i guess being a Marantz product, its not made of Chinese cracker
