Samsung world’s fastest 2.5-inch 256GB SSD drive

The Samsung’s 2.5-inch 256GB SSD drive is claimed to be the world’s fastest and largest Solid-State Drive that connects to a host computer using a 3Gb/s SATA interface. Measuring at 100.3 x 69.85 x 9.5mm, this Multi-Level Cell (or MLC) based SSD boasts a read and write speeds max out at 200MB/s and 160MB/s, respectively. Samsung highlighted the SSD’s superiority in performance, power consumption, shock resistance and noise. According to Samsung, they will begin mass producing the 2.5-inch 256GB SSD in December, while the samples available in September.
