The Samsung SGH-D780 Gold Plated Edition has became an official handset of Russia’s Olympic team. Guess, the team not only get some money to added an amount into their bank account from Rusian Athletic Committee but Samsung too. The D780 is a dual SIM handset, which means two GSM cards can work simultaneously inside the phone without reboot process. It features 2.1-inch QVGA TFT screen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, MicroSD memory card slot with up to 2GB supported, a 2 megapixel camera, a 1200 mAh battery.

This phone is gorgeous but it looks like it’s quite expensive. Other than style I don’t really see to why you’d need a gold plated phone. In that case you might just want to join the trend and get an iPhone. In any case it’s a nice phone. How much does it go for anyways?
