Sony Unveils BWU-300S Blu-Ray Disc Recorder
The Sony’s latest BWU-300S burner is scheduled to arrive on this October for about $409. This 3rd-generation internal Blu-ray disc writer boasts a 8x recording speed which it could burn a 50GB BD disc in 30 minutes or a 25GB BD disc in 15 minutes. Additionally, the BWU-300S also records DVDs at up to 16X, CDs up to 48X, and supports DVD-RAM recording, with an eye towards data backup, making it an excellent replacement burner for a standard DVD drive while offering all the benefits of Blu-ray Disc technology. The drive will comes bundled with a “Men in Black” Blu-ray Disc from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and CyberLink’s software suite for capturing, authoring, editing, burning and viewing high-definition personal content.
